I wanted to design a responsive and interactive element that would connect 2 floors of an office project I am working on.
Using clear acrylic tubes as a screen to the staircase the acrylic tubes would house lights that would pulse down depending on how much activity was on the staircase. If there was little activity, only a couple of the lights would pulse slowly down the tubes. As the activity on the stairs increases so to would the amount of light traveling down the tubes and the speed that it moves and pulses.
